MICOLONIC CREAM

Composition:
Each film coated cream contains:
Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%w/w, Miconazole Nitrate 2%w/w,
Neomycin Sulphate 0.5%w/w

CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE:

For the treatment of more resistant dermatoses such as psoriasis (excluding wide spread plaque psoriasis), recalcitrant eczema, lichn planus, discoid lupus, erythematosus and other conditions which do not respond satisfactory to less active steroids.

Contra-Indications:
Rosacea, acne vulgaris and perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infections (e.g. Herpes simplex, chickenpox).

Special Precautions:
Systemic absorption topical corticosteroids has resulted in reversible hypothalmic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis suppression, manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycemia and glycosuria in some patients, suppress the HPA axis in doses as low as 2 g per day. Children (under 12 yrs. of age): Not recommended.

Side Effects:
Burning and stinging sensatin, less frequent adverse reactions were itching skin, atrophy, cracking and fissuring of the skin, erythema, folliculitis, skin atrophy and telangiectasia.

MICONAZOLE NITRATE:

It is a broad-spectrum antimycotic with bactericidal action, combines a highantifungal activity against dermatophytes, yeasts and other phycomycetes, Ascomycetes and Adelomycetes with a potent anti bacterial activity against gram-positive bacilli and cocci. It has proved to be effective in mycoses, which with other treatments were resistant or had relapsed.

Contra-Indications:
Tinea capitis, T. corporis, T. manuum, T. pedis (athlete’s foot), T. barbae, T.Cruris. T. unguium or onychomycosis. Pityriasis versicolor. Candidosis of skin and nails.

Special Precautions:
Avoid contact with eyes, super infection. Pregnancy & lactation.

Drug Interactions:
Potentiates anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
